Women's Running Retreat
Huntsville, UT June 15-17

  • ESCAPE: Are you looking for a weekend full of everything that you love?  As women we rarely have an opportunity to escape life’s responsibilities.  Cooking, cleaning, laundry, kids, husband, job, and never-ending to-do lists are always there.  As much as we love what we do as a homemaker and/or in our professional career, sometimes we need to take a break and enjoy all the things WE love doing.  We’ve created this Women’s Running Retreat to do just that.  Escape life’s responsibilities for a couple days, experience everything that we love, and return to our everyday lives rejuvenated.
  • IMPROVEMENT: Gain valuable knowledge by experts to take your running to the next level, avoid injury, and stay motivated.
  • WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED: Besides registering and getting yourself to Huntsville, Utah, we have everything else covered.  So, block out Thursday evening  June 15 to Saturday night June 17th on your calendar, get to Huntsville, and we’ll take care of the rest!

We are not worried about how fast or slow you are, we just want you to enjoy the weekend and leave a stronger and better prepared runner. We promise you will have someone to run with the entire weekend and build some worthwhile friendships over the course of the retreat too!

Running Retreat Package Includes:

2 night accommodations at Lakeside Resorts Condos (Private room and shared room options available)

Beautifully decorated condos are reserved and ready for our excited retreat runners. And if the inside isn’t amazing enough, the outside balcony views of Pineview Reservoir and the Wasatch mountains (while sitting in a hot tub) will leave you breathless.

Meals/Snacks from Thursday Evening to Saturday Evening

Fresh, yummy food and snacks will be provided throughout the retreat.  Thursday evening, as retreat participants are arriving/checking in, we’ll have a variety of snacks for everyone to munch on as we kick off the retreat and get to know each other.  Friday and Saturday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.

Training, Motivation, Nutrition, and Injury Prevention Lectures from presenters with impressive qualifications.  Yoga and Run Strong Core Program sessions. Daily guided runs. Destination Running Retreats gift. Question and Answer sessions in a non-intimidating environment.

Experience the trails and paved paths of Snowbasin and Huntsville in one of the most beautiful locations in the Wasatch Mountains.  People come from all over to visit this area and there is a reason for this…it is beautiful!  Our Expert Coaches will be there to guide you along the way and answer any questions you may have.

We've put together a dynamic group of women to put this women's running retreat together. Although we all share a love for running, we come from a variety of ages, running abilities, backgrounds, and interests. We can pretty much guarantee that no matter what level of running you are at, there will be someone that can relate to you in some way and will have knowledge and experiences you can draw from over the course of the retreat.

Holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Science, is a private running coach, a business owner (, and a 2:49 marathoner.  But, her pride and joy is being a wife, homemaker, and a mother to three beautiful kids.
Lindsay Halling
Competitive Runner
Collegiate basketball player turned runner, Lindsay is a pure athlete in every aspect of the word.  She knows how to push herself to her limits and get results. She enjoys running half marathons and marathons (especially with friends). When she is not running or at the gym, she works full-time as a software manager, she’s the financial brains behind this retreat, and can often be found fishing with her husband. The most unselfish and genuine person you will ever meet.

A former Weber State University All-American, Lindsey qualified for the Beijing Olympics in 2008 in the steeple chase event. She is now a wife and mother of two beautiful children and continues to share her running knowledge and amazing experiences as she coaches distance runners at the College of Southern Idaho.
Kathryn MacLeod
Competitive Runner of 3 Years | Fashion Guru
Ran her first 5k in 2012 and since has lost 40+ lbs, has run multiple half-marathons, completed the Chicago marathon in 2015, and has become very competitive in her age division. She grew up in Prince Edward Island, Canada where she competed with her horses and her riding students at a very competitive level — coaching students to represent Canada in North American competitions. She currently teaches dressage riding professionally (think ballet on horseback) and is addicted to Facebook, running, and coffee.

In college the 800 meter was her event, but since has become addicted to half-marathons.  In the fall of 2015, she won her debut marathon in 2:54:18.  She is the prime example of consistency, self-discipline, and hard work.  A wife, mother, and a dedicated friend.

Olympic Trials Qualifier | Brooks Elite Sponsored Athlete
Grew up in Utah and attended Weber State University.  She is now a professional athlete sponsored by Brooks as part of their Elite Distance Team.  She qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials, won the 2016 Philadelphia Marathon in 2:36 and recently finished the Gasparilla Half Marathon in 1:14.  Ya, she is legit!
Julie Hansen
A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and an Exercise Physiologist. She is also a Certified Intuitive eating Counselor and a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. She’s been working in this field for over 30 years.  She is married and has two children. She has been running competitively in road races since 1980 and competing in triathlons since 2005. She loves competing and finds pure joy in helping others achieve success through proper nutrition.

Ran at Southern Utah University.  Took a break from competitive running for several years while her husband was in medical school and residency and she gave birth to 3 of her 4 children.  Most of her success has come in recent years in road racing with a PR of 2:41 in the marathon.  A highlight of her running career was qualifying for and running at the 2016 Olympic Trials Marathon.  She is sponsored by Brooks as part of the Inspire Daily team.
